143 competitors took part in AQUATLON Byala 2023.

The first competition from the State Calendar of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association – “State Aquathlon Cup in Byala 2023”, was held last weekend (08-09 July) in joint organization and partnership with the Municipality of Byala – European Small City of Sport 2023.
The event started on Saturday 08 July with the Start for three of the age groups
Swim 400 m – Run 2000 m
1st age group: Swim 200 m – Run 1000 m
0th age group: Swim 100 m – Run 800 m
On Sunday 09 July, the distribution of the starts began in the following groups:

5th age group: Run 2500 m – Swim 1000 m – Run 2500 m
4th age group: Run 2000 m – Swim 750 m – Run 2000 m
3rd age group: Run 1500 m – Swim 500 m – Run 1500 m
The national competitor Alexander Bozhilov from SCPST “Cosmos” – Sofia deservedly won the gold award in Men +19 years, next to him on the podium for the silver medal, climbed Ivo Vanchev from SC “Palazov” – Sofia, the bronze won Peter Bozhilov from SCPST “Cosmos” – Sofia.

In the Women +19 final, there were many twists and turns, but the gold medal went to Petya Boyanova from SCPST “Cosmos” – Sofia, the silver – Evelina Zlatanova from SCT “Tri Team”- Varna, the bronze went to Mevsin Makhmudova from SC “Triathlon-Dalyan” Ruse.

In the State Aquathlon Cup, competitors from 13 clubs of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association took part, and besides the carded competitors, competitors from Ukraine also took part, who lined up on the award ladder on Sunday 09 July. In the team ranking, the results ranked first SCPST “Cosmos” – Sofia, second SC “Triathlete” – Byala and third SC “Lion Heart” – Burgas.
