A total of 158 participants took part in the last race of the state calendar of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association, which was held this weekend (09-10 September) in partnership with the Municipality of Burgas. The center of the event was the North Beach, at the Kapanite parking lot, the cycling took place along the alley to the district of Burgas. Sarafovo, and the run along ul. The run was held on the Pomeriska street. In order to protect every participant, the “Crisis Situations and Violations Committee” decided to drop the swimming segment for all age groups due to the weather conditions reported at the time – so the race was held under the “duathlon” format.
Nationally represented sports clubs, members of BAT, as well as carded competitors from Ukraine took part in it – all divided into 6 age groups and separate starts. The start on Saturday began with three of the age groups: “Men/Women “+19 years, “Youth/Women” 17-18 years and “Senior” 15-16 years. On Sunday 10 September, the younger age groups took part: ‘Junior Age’ 13-14, ‘Children’ 11-12 and the youngest ‘Benjamin’ 10 years and under.
The national competitor Alexander Bozhilov from SCCT “Cosmos” – Sofia defended his title from the previous two competitions and won the gold medal in Men +19 years, next to him on the podium for the silver medal, climbed Borislav Palashev from SCCT “Palashev” – Pazardzhik, the bronze won – Boris Andreev from SCCT “Tri Team” – Sofia. In the final of Women +19 years, the gold medal won – Anastasia Peycheva from SCT “Palashev” – Pazardzhik, the silver Mevsin Makhmudova from SC “Triathlon-Dalyan” – Ruse, the bronze won Evelina Zlatanova from SCT “Tri Team” – Varna.

In the state championship, competitors from 13 clubs of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association took part, and in the team standings, the results ranked first SC “Triathlete” – Banya, second and third SCT “Palashev” – Pazardzhik and third – SCPST “Cosmos” – Sofia.
